Getting an answer to my "Are these lumps fat necrosis or something else?" question is turning out to be an issue.
By issue I mean pain in the butt, requiring me to call a bunch of people and try to explain what I want and what I thought I clearly asked for.
But it looks like once someone reads an MRI, that's it. No one else will look at anything to do with it, even if that's what needs to happen to answer the one, specific question I had the scan for in the first place.
Luckily, most people will not have to have a breast MRI. It's only needed if something suspicious can't be identified with a mammogram or sonogram and there are reasons you wouldn't do a biopsy.
For the test, you have to lie on your stomach with your boobs hanging down through holes in the table for about an hour. And you can't move--not at all for the entire time.
The uncomfortableness is something you remember. I am especially ticked to think that I would have endured it for no reason if I don't get my question answered.
I'll wait one more day to hear something helpful. If I don't, I think I'm going to say I'll call my insurance company and tell them not to pay for the (several thousand dollar) test because I specifically requested a different tech to read it, and the report that was generated doesn't address the main reason for the exam.
You get to choose your doctor. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to choose who reads your tests, especially if a case is not routine.
I'll keep you posted.

I'm amazed that you still have hair. I would have pulled mine out a long time ago!
The incompetence of the people who are supposed to be taking care of you amazes me!
what happened to the Tiny Sir blog?
That's the more interesting blog, I agree. It's tinysir.blogspot.com
The profile thing gets wacky when you try to do two blogs--or at least I can't figure it out.
Be Good!
